Atmosphere and good to know
The Grill Club is a casual, neighbourhood-style dining room that is set up well for groups. Wheelchair access is listed, and dogs are welcome. It opens from noon, closing at 11pm most nights, midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and 10pm on Sundays.
Beer, wine and cocktails are served. Vegan and gluten-free options are available. Halal status is not published, so check with staff. Tables can be booked through OpenTable, which is worth doing at weekends, and delivery and takeaway are also offered.
Nova Grill opening hours
Monday to Thursday: 12:00–23:00; Friday to Saturday: 12:00–midnight; Sunday: 12:00–22:00. Hours can change on bank holidays, so check with the restaurant before you travel.
How to get to Nova Grill
Highbury & Islington station (Victoria line, Overground and National Rail) is around an 8-minute walk north along Upper Street, and Angel (Northern line) is roughly 12–15 minutes south. Buses 4, 19, 30 and 43 run the length of Upper Street.
