These terms apply to your use of turkish-dish.com (“the site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. They are written in plain English and governed by the law of England and Wales.
1. About the site and who runs it
Turkish Dish is an information site: a directory of Turkish restaurants, cafés, bakeries and grocers in London, with guides and articles, and a page where businesses and drivers can register interest in a planned food delivery service.
The delivery service has not launched. Nothing on the site is an offer to deliver food, take orders or pay drivers. Separate terms for orders, partner businesses and drivers will be published before the service launches, and you will be asked to agree to them at that point.
The site is run by: [to confirm: legal name of the business, trading as Turkish Dish, and whether it is a sole trader or a registered company with its company number], [to confirm: trading address]. Contact: [to confirm: contact email].
2. Using the site
You may browse the site, read and share links to its pages, and use the forms for their intended purpose. You must not:
- use the site in a way that breaks the law or infringes anyone’s rights;
- submit false, misleading or offensive content, or register a business or account you are not entitled to represent;
- copy the directory or its content in bulk, scrape the site, or use automated tools to submit forms;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any account, or introduce malicious code;
- use the contact or registration forms to send advertising or spam.
We may suspend or remove accounts, listings or content that breach these terms, and block access to the site, without notice where we reasonably need to.
3. Accuracy of listings and guides
We take care to keep listings and guides accurate, but opening hours, menus, prices, dietary information and whether a place is halal, licensed or open at all can change without us knowing. Information on the site is provided for general guidance only. Please check directly with the restaurant before you travel, order or rely on anything, especially allergies. We are not responsible for the goods or services sold by the businesses listed, and we have no part in any transaction between you and them.
4. Content you add
If you add a listing, event, photo, description or other content to the site, you confirm that you own it or have the right to use it, that it is accurate and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. You keep ownership of your content, and you grant Turkish Dish a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, edit for format and length, and promote it on the site and in our own social media and guides, for as long as it stays on the site. We may edit or remove any content at our discretion, for example if it is out of date, misleading or breaches these terms.
5. Business listings and delivery registrations
- Adding or claiming a listing on the directory is free at the moment. If we ever introduce paid features, they will be optional and clearly priced before you buy them.
- Registering interest in the delivery service, as a business or a driver, does not commit you or us to anything. It only tells us you would like to hear about it.
- The 10% commission figure shown on the site is the rate we intend to charge partner businesses per order. It is not a binding offer. Commission and all other commercial terms will apply only once a written partner agreement has been signed, and that agreement will set out the final terms, which may differ from the figure shown.
- Any driver arrangement will also be set out in a separate written agreement before any work takes place.
6. Intellectual property
The Turkish Dish name, logo, site design, articles, guides and the selection and arrangement of the directory belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view, print or share single pages for personal, non-commercial use, with the source credited. Any other use, including reproducing our guides or the directory data on another site, needs our written permission. Restaurant names and logos belong to their owners. Area photographs are used under the Pexels licence and credited on the page.
7. Links to other sites
The site links to restaurants’ own websites, menus, booking and delivery platforms, social media pages and sources we cite. These sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content, their terms or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement. The commission rates we show for other platforms are taken from the sources named next to them on the date shown and may have changed; check the platform’s current terms.
8. Our responsibility to you
The site is provided free of charge and “as is”. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or up to date, and we may change or withdraw any part of it at any time.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss or damage that was not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, or for any business loss (such as loss of profit, business, contracts or goodwill) if you use the site for business purposes. Where we are liable to you in connection with the free use of the site, our total liability is limited to £100.
9. Your personal information
How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when the delivery service launches. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms: [to confirm: contact email], or use the contact page.
