Eat Turkish in… Green Lanes: breakfast, grills and late-night eats

From a 9am breakfast to a 2am tantuni: where to eat on the Harringay stretch of Green Lanes and its neighbours, every one of them a place people rate highly.

By the Turkish Dish team · Last updated November 2026

This is our guide to Green Lanes Turkish restaurants, arranged the way locals use the street: breakfast, lunch, dinner, late and dessert. The Harringay stretch, from Grand Parade up towards Turnpike Lane, is lined with charcoal grills, pide ovens and tea-and-baklava tables, and most of them keep long hours.

We step off the main road where it pays to: West Green Road for tantuni, Finsbury Park for dinner, Tottenham for katmer and Palmers Green, further up Green Lanes, for breakfast.

Also try: the best Turkish restaurants in north London and our late-night Turkish food guide.

Getting there

Harringay Green Lanes station on the Overground (Suffragette line) drops you in the middle of the strip. Manor House on the Piccadilly line sits at the southern end and Turnpike Lane at the northern end. Buses 29, 141 and 341 run the length of Green Lanes. Every local listing is on our Harringay & Green Lanes area page.

Order this: Mercimek çorbası (red lentil soup), mücver (courgette, feta and dill fritters), then the house mixed grill platter for two to three.
