Melissa is a Turkish ocakbaşı restaurant on Whitchurch Lane in Edgware, right beside Canons Park station, and one of two Melissa restaurants in north-west London. Melissa Edgware was named Best Turkish Restaurant in North and West London at the TURTA Awards in 2023.
The team says it brings more than 30 years of experience to the kitchen, and that dishes are made in-house using traditional methods. Expect charcoal-grilled şiş and mixed grills, meze to share and the house Melissa platter, with separate lunch and dessert menus. The drinks list includes beer, wine and cocktails.
It suits family dinners, celebrations and groups, and its sister restaurant on Station Road in Harrow offers the same style of cooking. Tables can be booked online through the restaurant’s website.

Melissa is a neighbourhood restaurant that is set up for families and groups, with highchairs available. Bookings can be made online through the restaurant’s website, and it is worth reserving for Friday and Saturday evenings, when it stays open until 11.30pm.
The restaurant displays a halal logo, and it also serves beer, wine and cocktails. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices are available. Dress is casual, takeaway is offered, and there is no dedicated parking. A separate lunch menu is served during the day, and card payments, including American Express, are accepted.

How to get to Melissa
Canons Park station (Jubilee line) is about a 1-minute walk, as the restaurant sits on Station Parade next to the station entrance. Edgware station (Northern line) is around 20 minutes’ walk east. Local buses run along Whitchurch Lane and Edgware’s Station Road.
