Gaziantep Lahmacun & Pide Tottenham is a small Turkish lahmacun and pide house on Philip Lane, named after the city in south-eastern Turkey that is famous for both. The menu is focused rather than sprawling: thin, crisp lahmacun and boat-shaped pide baked to order.
Lahmacun comes in regular and spicy versions, and pide is made in large portions with toppings such as lamb or a mix of everything. Prices are among the lowest in the area, which makes it a good-value lunch or early dinner stop, and the dough is made fresh on site.
It suits a quick sit-down meal, a casual lunch with friends or picking up a stack of lahmacun to take home. It opens from 11:30am until 9pm every day.
Keep it simple and order the two things in the name:
This is a small, simple dining room with the oven doing most of the work, and dishes are made fresh to order. It suits couples and small groups rather than big parties, and works well for lunch.
The restaurant doesn’t publish its halal or alcohol policy online, so ask if either matters. Prices are low and portions generous. It closes earlier than many places nearby, at 9pm, so plan an early evening visit. It sits on a mainly residential stretch of Philip Lane, between West Green and the High Road.
Monday to Sunday: 11:30–21:00. Hours can change on bank holidays, so check with the restaurant before you travel.
Bruce Grove station on the Overground’s Weaver line is about eight minutes’ walk north-east, and Seven Sisters (Victoria line and Weaver line) around 10 minutes south. Route 41 runs along Philip Lane between Turnpike Lane and Tottenham Hale, and Tottenham High Road buses are a short walk east.
