Turkcuisine is a modern Turkish restaurant and bar on the High Street in Hornchurch, mixing a classic charcoal grill with a lively, night-out atmosphere. Turkcuisine Hornchurch builds its menu on fresh, locally sourced ingredients: pides, cold and hot meze, lamb şiş and Adana from the coals, and yoghurt kebabs such as fıstık kebap and Ali Nazik.
There is plenty for non-meat eaters too, with vegan and vegetarian dishes clearly marked, plus grilled octopus, sea bass and a mixed fish kebab. Sharing platters range from a two-person Turk’s Platter to a Grand Platter for four or five.
Weekends bring a bottomless brunch with prosecco or cocktails, and evenings have live music, so it suits celebrations and group nights out as well as a relaxed dinner.

Pick a pide or meze to start, then head to the charcoal grill:
- Fıstık Kebap – minced meat and cheddar baked in homemade bread, topped with yoghurt, tomato-butter sauce and pistachio
- Ali Nazik – grilled aubergine with garlic yoghurt, topped with lamb or chicken and butter
- Adana Kebap – skewered minced lamb seasoned with pepper and thyme
- Sarma Beyti – minced meat grilled in thin bread with cheddar, yoghurt and tomato sauce
- Karışık Pide – Turkish flatbread with minced lamb, sucuk, peppers and mozzarella
- Humus Kavurma – pan-fried diced lamb over hummus
- Sigara Böreği – crisp filo rolls with halloumi, feta and herbs

Atmosphere and good to know
Turkcuisine has a bar and a sociable, upbeat feel, with a live singer in the evenings and a DJ at Saturday brunch. Bottomless brunch runs on Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday. It is open from noon to 11pm daily and suits groups, birthdays and date nights.
The menu labels vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, and there is a kids’ menu. Cocktails, prosecco and a full drinks list are available. Halal status isn’t published. Book online, especially for weekend brunch.

How to get to Turkcuisine
Hornchurch station on the District line is about a ten-minute walk south, and Emerson Park on the Overground’s Liberty line is around ten minutes to the north. Buses 248, 256 and 372 run along Hornchurch High Street and stop close to the restaurant.
