Yasar’s Kitchen Walthamstow is a Turkish restaurant on Blackhorse Lane in Walthamstow, almost next door to Blackhorse Road station. It is a family name with long roots (its Facebook page gives 1976), and today it is a busy grill house known for döner, charcoal kebabs and staying open well past midnight.
The kitchen sticks to Turkish favourites: hummus kavurma topped with sizzling lamb, döner from the spit, lamb from the grill, whole sea bass and the house chef’s special, all with bread, salad and sharp onion salad. Baklava and Turkish tea finish things off.
It suits most occasions, from a quick solo dinner or a takeaway to a big group meal or a late bite after a session on the nearby Blackhorse Beer Mile.

When you sit down at Yasar’s, these are the dishes worth ordering:
- Hummus Kavurma – smooth hummus topped with hot, crisp-fried lamb

Atmosphere and good to know
Yasar’s has a dark, moody dining room with neon strip lighting, marble-effect tables and velvet seating, and the music gets louder as the evening goes on. It handles large parties well and also has quieter corners for one or two. Wine and beer are served, and the kitchen stays open until 1am, or 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Walk-ins are common, but you can book a table through the form on the restaurant’s website, which is sensible for groups at the weekend. Delivery and collection can be ordered online.

Monday to Thursday: 12:00–01:00; Friday to Saturday: 12:00–02:00; Sunday: 12:00–01:00. Hours can change on bank holidays, so check with the restaurant before you travel.
How to get to Yasar’s Kitchen
Blackhorse Road station, on the Victoria line and the Overground Suffragette line, is about a 2-minute walk away. Buses 123 and 158 stop on Forest Road and Blackhorse Lane nearby, and Walthamstow Central is around a 20-minute walk to the east.
