KİD is a Turkish grill restaurant on Frith Street in Soho, opened in September 2026 by chef Sertaç Dirik and restaurateur David Carter. Dirik grew up cooking at his family’s Mangal II in Dalston, and at KİD Soho he cooks the Turkish food he was raised on using seasonal British produce, a wood oven and a charcoal grill.
The menu moves from snacks such as house sucuk with persimmon and bluefin ezme to fresh pide, meze of muhammara with beyaz peynir and smoky aubergine with garlic yoğurt, then içli köfte, grilled quail, Adana köfte with lavaş and lamb pirzola with grape molasses. Fish dishes include Cornish kalamar with isot pepper.
It works well for dates, small groups and anyone keen on modern Turkish cooking in the West End.
Order bread and meze for the table, then share from the grill.
Seating is a mix of tables and counter places, with the wood oven and grill at the heart of the kitchen. It suits couples and small groups, and there’s a dedicated booking route for larger parties.
A drinks list runs alongside the food, and the meal finishes with Turkish coffee or tea, lokum and baklava. It’s open for lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. Book through SevenRooms; the entrance is on Bateman Street. Desserts include pistachio and cherry baklava.
Monday to Saturday: 12:00–22:30; Sunday: Closed. Hours can change on bank holidays, so check with the restaurant before you travel.
Tottenham Court Road (Central, Northern and Elizabeth lines) is about a 5-minute walk, Leicester Square (Northern and Piccadilly lines) around 6 minutes and Oxford Circus around 9 minutes. Buses 14, 24, 29 and 176 run along Charing Cross Road nearby.
