Izgara is a smart, lively dining room with a full bar and a dedicated cocktail menu, and it has a private hire space for parties and events. It is equally suited to couples and larger family tables, and the long list of vegetarian dishes makes mixed groups easy.

Beer, wine and cocktails are served, and OpenTable lists gluten-free and vegan options. Its website does not say whether the meat is halal, so ask if that matters. Tables can be booked through OpenTable or by phone, which is sensible on Friday and Saturday evenings.

How to get to Izgara

Hatch End Overground station, on the Lioness line between Euston and Watford Junction, is about a five-minute walk away. Pinner station on the Metropolitan line is around 25 minutes on foot. The H14 bus and other local routes stop on Uxbridge Road close to the restaurant.
